Celine Dion Sells Her $25.5 Million Private Island Near Montreal
After years on the market, Canadian singer Celine Dion has sold her private island near Montreal, off the shore of Laval, Que.
Realtor Sotheby's has not revealed the final selling price of the 830,000-square-foot island, but it was previously listed for $25.5 million two years ago—though it's thought that it may have gone for much less than that.
The six-bedroom, nine-bathroom house, which also boasts a wine cellar, games room, inground pool and an elevator, is considered to be the most expensive home in the area. It has not been an easy sell. In 2013, it was listed for $29.7 million before she slashed the price.
